Xiaomi launched many products in India during the launch event scheduled for the Redmi 12 5G smartphone. The Redmi 12 5G smartphone is the first device in India to sport Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC. Xiaomi launched the device in Black and Blue colour options. The product will be available for purchase through Flipkart and Mi.com. Xiaomi has launched the wireless earphone at Rs 1,199. The open sale of the product will begin on August 2.

Xiaomi equips the device with a 9.2mm Superbass driver. The company features the device with Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. Xiaomi claims that the device has a connectivity range of 10m. The company also claims that the device offers better call quality compared to its previous generation. Xiaomi equips the device with a dual mic and Environment Noise Cancellation for calls. The Chinese OEM uses an in-ear design of wireless earphones.
Redmi Sonicbass 2 wireless earphones feature a magnetic design for the earbuds. Xiaomi has included support for multipoint connection and SBS codec support. The company claims that the device has a playback time of 16 hours. Xiaomi also adds that the device can last up to 230 hours on standby mode. The OEM has equipped the device with support for fast charging. A 10-minute charging can offer a playback of 143 minutes.
The device takes approximately 2 hours to charge from 0 to 100 using the USB type C port. Xiaomi has included support for voice assistance, volume control, music control, and call controls. The device also gets an IPX5 splash and sweat-proof rating to make it suitable for all weather conditions. In related news, the Redmi 12 5G features a 6.79-inch) LCD screen with an FHD+ resolution. The display supports a 30/48/60/90Hz adaptive refresh rate and has a peak brightness of 550 nits.
