Redmi Teases K Series Device Launch in India: Here’s What We Know

Redmi has started teasing a new device in the K series which could be the Redmi K50i 5G.

The Redmi K20 Pro has completed three years of its launch in India and the company has celebrated it by screening a movie for the device owners across the country. A few fans tweeted that they were shown a picture that said “K is back”. Now, the company has made it official by posting the same graphics across its social media handles. The hashtag used is #RedmiKisback which is an obvious hint that the company is gearing up to launch a K series device in India after a long time. While there is no mention of the device name, rumours say that it will be the Redmi K50i 5G that will launch soon in India.

Redmi K50i 5G is expected to launch this month in India which essentially could be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 11T Pro 5G. Poco also had recently launched the same device as POCO X4 GT globally with exact specifications. The K50i 5G was earlier spotted on the BIS database hinting at the imminent launch of the phone in India. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

Redmi K50i 5G: Full Specifications and Features

The Redmi K50i will sport a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate support. The display might have support for Dolby Vision content. The device will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC with four premium Arm Cortex-A78 cores with a clock speed of 2.85GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores. The chipset will be paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

it will pack a 5080mAh battery unit with support for 67W fast charging. For the optics, the Redmi K50i will offer a triple rear camera setup led by a 64MP main camera, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. There is a 16MP selfie shooter on the front.

The device is expected to run MIUI 13 version based on Android 12. Other features include an IP53 rating, X-Axis motor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.3, and VC liquid cooling. The device is said to measure 163.6×74.3×8.8mm and weigh 200 grams.
