Reliance will host its 46th annual general meeting with the shareholders on August 28 at 2 PM in India per the company’s notice to exchanges. According to The Economic Times, the company has already sent the notice. The Reliance chairman, Mukesh Ambani, is known to announce growth and expansion plans of the company across various Reliance verticals, including Jio.
This year, the most anticipated announcements are the listing date of Jio Financial Services, availability dates of JioPhone 5G and Jio Air Fiber, and new Jio 5G plans. Let’s look at what to expect from the Reliance AGM 2023.
Reliance AGM 2023 All Details: Jio 5G Plans, JioPhone 5G and Jio Air Fiber Expected
Reliance AGM is all set to take place on August 28th.
The Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance conglomerate announces new Jio products and services at its Annual General Meeting annually. This year, the company is hosting its 46th Annual General Meeting on August 28, starting at 2 PM IST. The event will be live-streamed for everyone on Reliance’s official YouTube channel. The company has already added the AGM banner on its YouTube channel.
One of the major highlights of the AGM 2023 is the listing date of Jio Financial Services. Notably, RIL completed the demerger of its financial services into Reliance Strategic Investments in July and named the new company Jio Financial Services. Ambani wants to turn Jio Financial Services into India’s biggest non-banking lender.
It’s expected that Jio might announce the JioPhone 5G in India at this AGM. Notably, the company announced JioPhone 5G launch in partnership with Google in 2020. Earlier this year, the alleged renders and specifications of JioPhone 5G have been leaked. The smartphone is expected to come with dual 13MP cameras, a 5MP selfie camera, Snapdragon 480+ SoC, 4GB RAM, a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display, Android 12-based PragatiOS, and more.
The company might also announce the Jio Air Fiber 5G hotspot device at the AGM 2023 on August 28. Notably, the company announced the device at last year’s AGM but has yet to make it available to the public. The Jio Air Fiber is said to offer high-speed internet without conventional wires. We can expect Jio Air Fiber to get a public launch this year.
Finally, Jio has been rolling out its 5G services across the country and currently offers users a free Jio 5G trial with select Jio postpaid and prepaid plans. The company is yet to launch dedicated 5G plans in India, and we can expect Mukesh Ambani to launch 5G plans at the AGM. It’s speculated that the 5G plans will be priced similarly to the existing 4G plans but will offer users faster and more stable speeds.
