Reliance Jio, earlier this year, teased its new smartphone, the JioPhone Next. The company was expected to release its budget 4G smartphone in India on September 10. However, owing to a shortage of components, the company postponed the launch to Diwali this year. Jio’s budget smartphone is expected to launch in November 2021. Ahead of the launch, the smartphone has visited the Google Play Console. It reveals some of the key specs and features of the upcoming Jio smartphone. Reliance JioPhone Next Google Play Console
Reliance JioPhone Next is expected to launch later this year. The company’s budget 4G smartphone is slated to go on sale in November. Ahead of the launch, the smartphone is listed on the Google Play Console. It reveals that the device draws power from a Qualcomm processor with the model number QM215. As the name suggests, it is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 SoC. The budget processor has four Cortex-A53 cores. The processor is paired with an Adreno 306 GPU. It is also listed on the Google Play Console with 2GB of RAM. This means that the phone will run Android 11 (Go Edition) out of the box.
Other details of the device confirmed via the listing include a 720 x 1440 HD+ resolution that has a screen density of 320. A previous report further leaked the remaining specs of the Jio smartphone. It will sport a 5.5-inch display. Reliance Jio will make the phone available in 2GB + 16GB and 3GB + 32GB storage options. The phone will also have a 13MP single rear camera and an 8MP front camera. It will pack a modest 2,500 mAh battery under the hood.
At the time of the unveiling, Jio had announced that the phone’s OS has been custom-tuned to offer a seamless user experience. These include features like Google assistant, automatic read-aloud of screen text, language translation, smart camera with augmented reality filters. The phone will also come pre-loaded with Jio apps like JioSaavn, MyJio, JioTV, etc. As per reports, Reliance Jio will make its smartphone available for around 3,499.
