Revenant Esports and Marcos Gaming to Represent India at the Pokemon UNITE Asia Champions League Finals in Malaysia

The forthcoming Pokemon Unite Asia Champions League 2023, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 18 to 19 March, will be one of the most significant events for the title this year.

The Indian Regional Qualifier of Pokemon Unite Asia Champions League 2023 concluded on 19 February with Revenant Esports walking away as the reigning champions as they ended the league with pure dominance in the playoffs. The team have shown a dominant performance on the final day of the Indian Regional Qualifier to cement their slot at the offline event.


The Indian Qualifier was hosted by Jet Skyesports, one of the leading esports tournament organizers in South Asia, in partnership with The Pokemon Company, and took place from 8 January to 19 February with $8,500 on the line. The event was set to take place in two stages and the first stage was won by Marcos Gaming.

Revenant Esports and Marcos Gaming To Represent India at Pokemon Unite ACL 2023 

Marcos Gaming was the first Indian team to make its way to Asia Champions League. During the Group Stage (Regular Season: Stage 1), Marcos Gaming was unbeaten which made the team qualify for the main event directly.

As a consequence of their ‘4-0’ record, the team immediately qualified for the Grand Final stage of the Regular Season: Playoffs, securing a seat in the Pokemon Unite Asia Champions League 2023.

The playoffs have seen Revenant Esports roaring with win streaks and they didn’t lose a single match. The team beat Gods Reign and True Rippers respectively with a 2-1 scoreline to face S8UL in the Semi-finals.

The Semi-Finals have witnessed Revenant Esports claiming the win with a 2-0 scoreline and qualifying for the Grand Finals. During the Grand Finals against Marcos Gaming who secured the pole position in the Group Stage, Revenant won the finals and received $5000 prize money while Marcos Gaming received $2,500. Third-placed S8UL Esports pocketed $1,500. 

Revenant will now fly down to Malaysia to participate in the Pokémon UNITE Asia Champions League Finals on 18 and 19 March. They will face the finest teams from East and Southeast Asia. The tournament winner will get a cash prize of $30,000.

So far, four teams have been finalized for the competition. Aside from the two Indian teams, Hi5 from Taiwan and Team MYS from Malaysia have already secured their places in the Asia Champions League 2023.

Pokemon Unite Asia Champions League 2023 Prize Pool Distribution

A total of $60500 is distributed among the teams as follows:

  • 1st place: $30000
  • 2nd place: $15000
  • 3rd place: $7500
  • 4th place: $5000
  • 5th place: $1500
  • 6th place: $1500
