[EXCLUSIVE] Samsung Galaxy A12 Launching in India Next Week

Samsung announced the Galaxy A12 smartphone along with Galaxy A02s back in November for the European market. The Samsung Galaxy A12 cleared BIS certification last month, so we had an idea that the smartphone might launch soon in India. Now, MySmartPrice has learned, courtesy Ishan Agarwal, that the Korean tech giant will launch the Galaxy A12 smartphone next week in India. The Samsung Galaxy A12 succeeds the Galaxy A11 that launched almost a year ago. The highlights of the smartphone include a large display, a quad-rear camera setup, and a large 5,000mAh battery. Samsung Galaxy A12 Price

Samsung Galaxy A12 comes in three storage configurations with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal memory. The 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant starts at EUR 179 (approx Rs. 15,675), while the 6GB RAM and 128GB variant retails for EUR 199 (approx Rs. 17,426).

The smartphone features a 6.5-inch HD+ TFT display with a 720×1500 resolution. There is also a tiny waterdrop notch up top which the company refers to as the Infinity-V display.

Under the hood, the smartphone sports an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor that is built on a 12nm fabrication process. While the graphics duties are handled by an integrated PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The Galaxy A12 retails in up to 6GB RAM, and up to 128GB storage in the European market, but we will have till next week to see what all variants Samsung launches in the country.

Coming to the optics, the smartphone features a quad- rear camera setup inside a squircle camera module. The primary sensor on the Galaxy A12 is a 48MP sensor, that gets accompanied by a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. For the selfies, Samsung offers an 8MP shooter on the Galaxy A12.

All this gets powered by an inbuilt 5,000 mAh battery that supports up to 15W fast-charging via a USB Type-C port. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
