Samsung has taken the wraps off a new budget smartphone today, the Galaxy A01 Core. The phone has made its debut in Indonesia. The Galaxy A01 Core comes as a more affordable version of the Galaxy A01, making it one of the cheapest phones from Samsung on offer around the globe. Samsung Galaxy A01 Core: Price and availability
The Samsung Galaxy A01 Core comes in two memory configurations in Indonesia, 1GB RAM + 16GB storage, and 2GB RAM + 32GB storage. For now, the brand has revealed the price of only the base variant. It costs IDR 1,09,000. However, as a part of an introductory offer, which is valid from 21st to 23rd July, the 1GB + 16GB variant of the Galaxy A01 Core will be available at IDR 9,99,000. The price of the 2GB RAM + 32GB storage variant is yet to be revealed. The phone is available in three color options, Blue, Black, and Red. Samsung is also yet to announce the availability of the device for markets outside Indonesia.
Samsung Galaxy A01 Core: Features
The Samsung Galaxy A01 Core features a 5.3-inch TFT LCD with HD+ resolution. Unlike most smartphones in the market, which come with thin bezels around the screen coupled with a notch, the Galaxy A01 Core has thick bezels around the screen.
Powering the Galaxy A01 Core a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 processor. One of the downsides of the phone is that it runs on the Go Edition of the Android 10 instead of the full version, which means that you will have limited features and app support.
The Galaxy A01 Core has an 8MP camera at the rear with an f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP camera at the front with an f/2.4 aperture. The device packs a 3,000mAh battery that can be charged through a microUSB port at the bottom. Other connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G support, hybrid SIM slot, headphone jack, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
