Samsung launched the Galaxy A01 successor, the Galaxy A02 smartphone back in January this year. The device features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display and is powered by MediaTek’s quad-core MT6739W7 SoC. The phone sports a 13MP dual-camera setup and is backed by a 5000mAh battery. As of now, Samsung is yet to launch this device in India. However, now the phone’s launch seems to be imminent in the Indian market. 91Mobiles claims to have learned from its sources that the A02 mass production has started at the company’s Noida facility. The live images of the device in production are leaked online, which suggests us that the handset will have the same design as the global variant. The device even might come with similar specifications as that of the global model.

Now that Samsung has started the production of the A02 in India, the company might announce this device in the Indian market in the upcoming few weeks or months. As of now, the launch date of the Galaxy A02 isn’t revealed officially. If we have a glimpse at the A02 production images, we can see that the device features a dual-camera setup. The smartphone has a textured back finish, a 3.5mm audio jack, microUSB port, and a speaker grille at the bottom side. The power button and the volume rocker is placed at the right side of the handset.

The handset packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 7.75W charging. Dimensions-wise, the phone measures at around 164.0mm x 75.9mm x 9.1mm and weighs 206 grams.

The Samsung Galaxy A02 price in India is expected to be under Rs 10,000. The device might be available in Denim Red, Denim Grey, Denim Black, and Denim Blue colour options.
