Samsung seems to be gearing up to launch a new variant of the Galaxy A02s smartphone in the US market called the Galaxy A02s Verizon edition. Yes! You read it correctly the smartphone was recently launched in the US and European markets. MySmartPrice has spotted the Galaxy A02s Verizon edition at FCC listing revealing the design of the smartphone and the intentions of the South Korean tech giant to launch the phone in the US market soon. The Galaxy A02s Verizon is spotted on the FCC listing with model number SM-A025V and FCC ID: ZCASMA025V. The listing suggests that the smartphone will arrive with Wi-Fi calling support and come preinstalled with Google Duo. The smartphone runs on Android OS and doesn’t support any OTT services. Besides, the FCC listing also suggests that the Galaxy A02s will be launched in the US market as a Verizon edition. It comes with GSM, WCDMA, and LTE support.

The listing also suggests that the smartphone will have a typical battery capacity of 5,000mAh and a rated capacity of 4,800mAh. EP-TA200 is the charger model on the FCC listing which suggests that the handset will support 15W charging.

The FCC listing also showcased a patent picture of the upcoming smartphone which suggests that the Galaxy A02s Verizon edition will feature a rectangular shaped camera module placed at the top-left corner of the rear panel. We have also noticed that the handset sports curved edges, a 3.5mm audio jack, a microUSB port, and a speaker grill. Besides that, the listing didn’t reveal much about the smartphone.

Thanks to the previous launch we know everything about the Galaxy A02s. As per the launch, the smartphone flaunts a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display with a waterdrop notch to accommodate the front camera setup. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek MT6739W quad-core SoC, clubbed with up to 3GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. Users can also expand the storage up to 1TB via a microSD card.

As far as cameras are concerned, the Galaxy A02s features a dual-camera setup at the rear panel including a 13-megapixel primary camera sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor along with an LED flash. The rear cameras are capable of offering digital zoom up to 8x and autofocus. Upfront, it houses a 5-megapixel camera setup for selfies and video calls.
