Samsung has launched a new Galaxy A12 variant in India. The same device was unveiled by Samsung in the Russian market with the Galaxy A12 Nacho moniker a few days back. Compared to the earlier Galaxy A12 model, the new A12 variant comes with a different chipset. The rest of the specifications of the device such as display and camera configuration remain the same as that of the original model. The new Galaxy A12 variant comes with Exynos 850 chipset and features a 48MP quad-camera setup. The other key specifications of the device include a 6.5-inch TFT LCD display, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, an 8MP selfie camera, and a 5000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging.
Samsung Galaxy A12 Price in India, Availability
The Samsung Galaxy A12 variant with Exynos 850 SoC comes in three colour options that include – Black, Blue, and White. The base Galaxy A12 model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs 13,999, while the 6GB RAM variant with 128GB storage costs Rs 16,499. The device will available for purchase from Samsung’s India website.
Samsung Galaxy A12 Specifications, Features
Samsung had earlier launched the Galaxy A12 smartphone in India back in February. The device was powered by the Helio P35 chipset. The new Galaxy A12 model as mentioned above now comes with a 2GHz octa-core Exynos 850 SoC. The device features a 6.5-inch TFT LCD display with a HD+ 720 x 1600 pixels resolution. The phone packs up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device also has microSD card support for extra storage expansion. For the optics purpose, the A12 feature a quad-camera setup which consists of a 48-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.0 aperture, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a pair of 2-megapixel depth and macro camera units.
Upfront the Galaxy A12 sports an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The device houses a 5000mAh battery that has 15W fast charging support. Connectivity-wise the handset offers dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. Dimensions-wise the smartphone measures 164.0mm x 75.8mm x 8.9m and weighs 205 grams. The device runs Android 11 out of the box. The power button on the right side of the handset doubles up as a fingerprint reader.
