The existence of an Android Go smartphone from Samsung has been known for months now. Pretty much all of its specifications even leaked a few weeks ago. This phone will be called the Samsung Galaxy A2 Core, and a new leak from 91mobiles has also revealed the phone’s pricing.
Samsung Galaxy A2 Core Price in India
The Galaxy A2 Core is said to carry a price tag of INR 5,290. It will be offered on three color options – Dark Grey, Red, and Blue. There is no word yet regarding the launch date of this phone. Considering we now know everything there is to know about this phone, the launch should be just around the corner.
Samsung Galaxy A2 Core Leaked Specifications
91mobiles also got their hands on a specifications list which bears identical information to what we have seen in a previous leak. The Galaxy A2 Core will come with a 5-inch LCD screen with a 960 x 540 pixel resolution. The exterior of the phone is built with plastic, and the overall footprint of the phone measures in at 141.5 x 70.9 x 9.1 mm, with its weight reportedly being 142 grams. An Exynos 7870 SoC with an octa-core 1.6GHz CPU will power the phone. This would be paired with 1GB of RAM as is the case with all Android Go smartphones. Furthermore, the phone will run Android 9.0 Pie Go Edition. Not only does the phone get 16GB of internal storage but you can also expand it further with the use of a microSD card.
For imaging, the Galaxy A2 Core will offer a 5MP rear shooter with an f/1.9 aperture. At the front, the phone gets another 5MP sensor but with an f/2.2 aperture. Finally, we have a 2,600mah battery keeping the lights on. For connectivity, the phone is expected to support dual-SIM, 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, FM radio, and GPS/ A-GPS.
Samsung previously published a user manual for the Galaxy A2 Core that confirms quite a few of these leaked specifications. It has also been confirmed that the phone will come pre-loaded with a bunch of Go Edition Google applications including Gmail Go, Maps Go, and Google Assistant Go.
