After introducing its first 2019 Galaxy A-series smartphones last month, Samsung launched the entry-level Galaxy A20 a few days back. The South Korean consumer electronics giant is expected to soon launch a toned down version of the Galaxy A20, dubbed Galaxy A20e. Alleged renders of the upcoming smartphone have now been leaked online, revealing a near identical design to the Galaxy A20. It is being speculated that the Galaxy A20e may debut alongside the Galaxy A90 on April 10. The smartphone was spotted on the Samsung UK website a few weeks back and has already been certified by Bluetooth SIG as well as the Wi-Fi Alliance.
Samsung Galaxy A20e Will Look Identical to the Galaxy A20
The alleged Galaxy A20e press renders suggest the upcoming smartphone will not look very different from the Galaxy A20. It has a similar waterdrop notch at the top of the display and a vertically-stacked dual-camera setup at the rear. Below the dual rear cameras, we find an LED flash. Placed above the Samsung logo is an oval-shaped rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. As for the build, it looks like the Galaxy A20e will have a very similar plastic body as the Galaxy A10. The Galaxy A20, on the other hand, comes with a 3D Glasstic design, a combination of glass and plastic.
Samsung Galaxy A20e May Debut on April 10
As I mentioned earlier, Samsung will possibly debut the Galaxy A20e at its upcoming “a Galaxy event” on April 10. The star of the show is expected to the Galaxy A90, which will be Samsung’s first smartphone to come with a ‘New Infinity’ screen. Alongside the Galaxy A90, the company is likely to launch the Galaxy A20e, Galaxy A40, and Galaxy A60 smartphones as well. While the Galaxy A20e does not look very different from the Galaxy A20 in terms of design, the upcoming smartphone is expected to be less impressive in terms of hardware specifications. Thanks to the slightly less impressive hardware, the Galaxy A20e is likely to be priced under INR 10,000 in the Indian market.
The Galaxy A20, which went official earlier this month, comes with a 6.4-inch Infinity-V Super AMOLED display. Rumors suggest the Galaxy A20e may come with a slightly smaller display than the Galaxy A20. Under the hood, Galaxy A20 is powered by an Exynos 7884 octa-core processor, clubbed with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The smartphone also comes with 13MP + 5MP dual rear cameras, 8MP selfie camera, 4000mAh capacity non-removable battery, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
