Samsung Galaxy A20s

The Samsung Galaxy A20s made its debut a few days ago at an event in Malaysia. And today, Samsung has posted an article regarding the Galaxy A20s on its global newsroom, announcing the smartphone for international markets. The brand, however, hasn’t revealed availability details of the Galaxy A20s for any country.

The Galaxy A20s, as its name suggests, comes as the successor to the Galaxy A20 that is currently on sale in many countries including India. Here are all the specifications of the Galaxy A20s.

Samsung Galaxy A20s Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A20s has a 6.5-inch LCD with HD+ resolution. The display has a V-shaped notch at the top. The brand hasn’t revealed the display protection details, which indicates that the display misses out on Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

In terms of imaging, the Galaxy A20s has three rear cameras – a 13MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide unit, and a 5MP depth sensor. At the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera. Samsung hasn’t mentioned video recording capabilities of the smartphone yet, but in my opinion, the rear camera might feature Full HD video recording.

When it comes to performance, Samsung reveals that the device has an octa-core chipset with 1.8GHz frequency. This could be the Exynos 7884 SoC that we’ve seen in a few Samsung smartphones recently. According to Samsung, there are two RAM options – 3GB and 4GB. And two storage options to choose from – 32GB and 64GB. The device also features a microSD card slot.

The Galaxy A20s packs a 4000mAh battery, but the brand hasn’t revealed charging capabilities of the smartphone yet. For security and privacy, there is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and face recognition feature. Internationally, the Galaxy A20s comes in four color variants – Black, Blue, Green, and Red.

When Will It Launch in India?

As of now, there is no official information regarding the India launch of the Galaxy A20s. However, considering that the Galaxy A20s has already launched in neighboring countries like Malaysia, you can expect it to hit the Indian shores soon.

What About the Price?

In Malaysia, the Galaxy A20s costs RM 699 for the 32GB storage variant. That converts to around INR 11,900. You can expect the device to cost the same in the Indian market.
