Samsung Galaxy A22 4G With 15W Fast Charger Gets FCC, Galaxy A22 5G Clears NBTC and Indonesia Telecom Certifications

Samsung is aiming to add a new device to the Galaxy A-series dubbed as the Galaxy A22. This device is rumoured to launch in both 4G and 5G versions. In the last few weeks, we had seen multiple leaks regarding the Galaxy A22, thanks to several certifications, and benchmark listing. A few days ago, we even saw the renders of both the Galaxy A22 4G and A22 5G, which showcased us the device’s design language ahead of launch. Now, in a recent development, the Galaxy A22 4G model has cleared the required FCC certification. Additionally, the A22 5G variant has received the green signal from the NBTC and Indonesia Telecom Certifications. Let’s check details revealed by these certifications authorities ahead:

Samsung Galaxy A22 4G Recevies FCC Certification

The Galaxy A22 4G that has received the FCC certification carries model number as SM-A225M/DSN. If we go by the details revealed by the FCC documents, the Galaxy A22 4G should offer 15W fast-charging support. The device shall ship with a charger model EP-TA200, as disclosed in the FCC documents. As mentioned above, the A22 5G model has received the NBTC and Indonesia Telecom Certifications. The A22 5G variant that has appeared in these certifications database carries model number as SM-A226B. Apart from the model number, the NBTC and Indonesia Telecom certification doesn’t reveal any specs of the device.

If we have a recap of the rumoured specs, the Galaxy A22 4G is expected to be powered by MediaTek Helio G80 SoC. The device might ship with 6GB of RAM. On the software side of things, the A22 4G is expected to run Android 11 out of the box. These hardware and software details of the phone were revealed by the Geekbench benchmark listing yesterday. The phone had managed to pull off 293 and 1247 points in the single-core and multi-core test at Geekbench respectively. The A22 4G is tipped to feature a 6.4-inch HD+ AMOLED display with a standard 60Hz refresh rate.

In terms of imaging, the device is supposed to feature a quad-camera setup that might house in a 48MP primary main camera. For the selfies and video-calling, the A22 4G might come equipped with a 13MP camera unit. The whole package is said to draw power from a 5000mAh battery. Both the A22 versions are supposed to come in White, Black, Purple, and Green colour options.

As of now, the launch date of the A22 4G remains unknown currently. However, now that the phone has gained multiple certifications, we can expect Samsung to announce the official launch date of the A22 4G/5G in the upcoming few weeks.
