Samsung Galaxy A23 5G with Snapdragon 695 SoC, 4GB RAM Spotted on Geekbench, Could Launch Soon

The Samsung Galaxy A23 5G has been in the news for more than six months now and the device was first tipped to launch in both 4G and 5G variants. Later on, the Samsung Galaxy A23 4G was spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 680 SoC, 4GB RAM, and Android 12 OS. Earlier this year, this a bunch of other Galaxy A series and M series devices including the Galaxy A23 were spotted on EMVCO certification back in Feburary.

Now, the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G has been spotted on the Geekbench database revealing some key specifications and features like the chipset of the device, GPU, OS version, and RAM. Let’s take a look at the upcoming Galaxy A23 5G in detail.

Samsung Galaxy A23 5G Listed on Geekbench

The Samsung Galaxy A23 5G smartphone with the “SM-A236U” model number has been listed on the Geekbench website. For starters, the upcoming handset will be powered by an octa-core chipset with six cores clocked 1.8GHz and two performance cores clocked at 2.21GHz. The chipset will be paired with Adreno 619 GPU as well. Based on these details, this is the Snapdragon 695 SoC, which is a 5G capable SoC.

Further, the listing suggested the phone come with 4GB of RAM. However, we can expect more RAM and storage variants of the device. The device will run on Android 12 out of the box, which is likely to be based on OneUI 4.1 skin. Based on the model number this could be a US-specific variant.

As for the benchmarking scores, the phone has secured 674 in the single-core test and 2019 in the multi-core test, which is a decent set of scores for a budget centric 5G smartphone.

On the other hand, the Galaxy A23 4G variant was spotted on Geekbench with Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, Android 12 OS, and 4GB of RAM. Based on the previous reports, the Galaxy A23 series phones are said to feature a 50MP main camera and they’re expected to come with a large 5,000mAh battery as well. We expect both the phone to launch soon.
