Samsung, a couple of weeks ago, launched the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G smartphone. Now, the company seems to be prepping up to launch yet another A-series device – the Samsung Galaxy A24 (4G variant) as we have spotted it on the Geekbench benchmark database. The upcoming Galaxy smartphone made an appearance on the benchmark website with the model number SM-A245F. The Samsung Galaxy A24 Geekbench 5 benchmark listing also reveals some of the key specifications of the device.

The specifications of the Samsung Galaxy A24 were leaked on the web earlier which revealed that Samsung will use an Exynos 7904 processor on Galaxy A24. However, the latest Geekbench listing suggests that the leaked information was wrong and the company might instead use a MediaTek Helio G99 on the upcoming A-series smartphone. Let us take a closer look at the Samsung Galaxy A24 (4G variant) Geekbench benchmark scores and key specifications.

Samsung Galaxy A24

The upcoming A-series smartphone made an appearance on the Geekbench 5 benchmark database with the model number SM-A245F. It scored 561 points in the single-core round of the benchmark test. Whereas, the score in the multi-core round was recorded as 1943 points. The listing further reveals the presence of an octa-core CPU with a 2 + 6 core configuration.

Out of 8 cores, 2 cores are clocked at 2.20GHz each which should be performance cores. While the remaining 6 cores are clocked at 2.0GHz each which appear to be efficiency cores. The listing further reveals the presence of the Mali G57 graphics unit. The details revealed in the benchmark listing suggest that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A24 might be powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor. If true, this would be the first Helio G99-powered smartphone by Samsung.

The Samsung Galaxy A24 is tipped to use an Exynos 7904 processor. However, the information revealed through the Geekbench listing is contradictory. It seems the leaked information wasn’t accurate. Also, it makes more sense for the company to use Helio G99 rather than a 4 year old Exynos 7904.

The Geekbench listing further reveals that the Samsung Galaxy A24 will feature 4GB of RAM. Though this may not be the only memory option for the handset and we can expect Samsung to offer a 6GB memory variant as well. The handset, similar to other recently launched Galaxy devices, will come pre-loaded with Android 13.
