Samsung had announced the Galaxy A31 smartphone in India on 4 June and it has already gone up on sale on major e-commerce websites and Samsung-affiliated brick and mortar stores. The Galaxy A31 has a single variant which is priced at Rs 21,999 and it takes up from the Galaxy A30 launched around this time last year. At its price point, the Galaxy A31 takes on the POCO X2 and OPPO F15. Let’s see how the three devices compare with each other in terms of specs.

As mentioned earlier the Samsung Galaxy A31 happens to have a price tag of Rs 21,999 for the single 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The POCO X2 is currently selling at Rs 17,499 after receiving a price hike at the starting of this month. The phone also has 6GB + 128GB version priced at Rs 18,499, while the top-end 8GB RAM + 256GB is priced at Rs 20,999. The OPPO F15 also has a single 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant which has been priced at Rs 19,900. From looking at this we can see that the POCO X2 has the most versatility in terms of RAM and storage options.

The Galaxy A31 has a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with an Infinity-U display and an FHD+ resolution. The POCO X2 has a bigger, 6.67-inch display with a dual punch-hole, FHD+ resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The OPPO F15 has a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch and a normal, 60Hz refresh rate. Looking at it, the POCO X2 is the winner with a higher refresh rate of 120Hz and a punch-hole display giving a higher screen-to-body ratio.

The Galaxy A31 comes with a quad-camera setup, wherein, the primary lens happens to be a 48MP sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide secondary lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The POCO X2 also has a quad-camera system with a 64MP primary sensor along with the same 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP depth, and 2MP macro sensors. On the OPPO F15, there is again a quad-camera layout with a 48MP primary sensor along with the same 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP depth, and 2MP macro lens. On the front, there is a single 20MP lens and 16MP sensor for the Galaxy A31 and OPPO F15 respectively. The POCO X2 has dual front-facing cameras with a 20MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. It is clear from the megapixel count and number of cameras that the POCO X2 is the winner here.

In terms of battery, the Galaxy A31 happens to have a 5,000mAh cell with 15W fast charging support. On the POCO X2, there is a 4,700mAh battery with 27W charging support and the OPPO F15 has a 4,000mAh battery with 18W charging. While the POCO X2 has a slightly lower capacity battery than the Galaxy A31, it has nearly double the charging speed which makes it a winner in this category as well.
