Samsung Galaxy A50, Galaxy A30 Price and Availability Details Revealed, India Launch on February 28


Samsung launched the Galaxy A50 and A30 mid-range smartphones yesterday at the MWC event, but at the time of launch, the brand did not reveal the pricing and availability details of the two smartphones. However, today, Samsung Netherlands, Samsung South Korea, and Samsung Germany have issued a press release that sheds some light on the pricing and availability of the two smartphones for their respective regions.

Samsung Netherlands reveals that the Galaxy A50 will be available in the region starting from mid-March with a price tag of €349, but they haven’t mentioned anything regarding the pricing and availability of the Galaxy A30. Samsung South Korea also reveals the same mid-March availability for the Galaxy A50. In addition, they also revealed that they’ll launch the Galaxy A30 alongside the Galaxy A50 in mid-March. However, Samsung South Korea did not unveil the pricing of the two smartphones. As for Samsung Germany, they have revealed that the Galaxy A50 will be available in the region starting from April, and they also added that it is very unlikely for the Galaxy A30 to launch in their region. Even Samsung Germany has not revealed the pricing details.

Will Samsung Galaxy A30 and A50 Launch in India?

There is no doubt that Samsung is going to launch the A-series smartphones in India as it had already sent the launch event invites to the media. The event will be held in Mumbai on 28th this month. However, it is unclear at the moment if Samsung will launch the Galaxy A30 or the Galaxy A50 or both smartphones at the event. We’ll have to wait and see.

How Much Will the Galaxy A30 and A50 Cost in India?

Now that Samsung has revealed the price of the Galaxy A50 in the Netherlands, we know what pricing to expect in India. In my opinion, the Galaxy A50 might cost the same as it does in the Netherlands, and that is around INR 28,999. However, the pricing details for the Galaxy A30 are not out yet for any region. So, it is hard to say anything for sure, but considering the spec-sheet, the Galaxy A30 could be priced at INR 19,999.

Samsung Galaxy A30 Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A30 features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. The smartphone has a 16MP + 5MP dual-camera at the back and a 16MP camera at the front. The device is powered by the Exynos 7885 SoC, and it runs on Android 9 Pie OS. Internationally, there are two variants on offer. One has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, and the other has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The Samsung Galaxy A30 has a 4000mAh battery, USB Type-C port, and a fingerprint scanner.

Samsung Galaxy A50 Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A50 has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution just like its sibling. The rear camera includes a 25MP main sensor and a 5MP depth-sensor. There is a 25MP camera at the front too. The smartphone is powered by the Exynos 9610 SoC, and it comes in 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variants. The device is backed by a 4000mAh battery that charges through the USB Type-C port. The Galaxy A50 also has an under-display fingerprint scanner.
