There have been rumors lately that Samsung will soon introduce two new smartphones in its M series lineup — the Galaxy M30 and the Galaxy M50. A new leak from Slashleaks spills beans on the latter. The leaked image posted on Slashleaks is claimed to be the user manual of the Galaxy M50. This alleged leaked user manual reveals the schematics of the device. According to it, the Galaxy M50 will have an in-display fingerprint scanner, a triple-camera setup, and a USB Type-C port. Although it is too early to judge the authenticity of the leak, it lines up with the previous leaks and rumors. Therefore, I think it is safe to believe that this new leak is genuine.
Let’s start with the triple-camera setup on the rear. The user manual does not reveal anything else about it. According to our recent exclusive report, the triple-camera setup will have 25MP + 5MP + 8MP configuration. The 25MP camera will be the main camera unit, the 8MP sensor will be an ultra-wide camera, while the 5MP camera will be a mere depth-sensor.
Moving on to the in-display fingerprint scanner. The user manual doesn’t say much about it either. It just points to a square at the bottom-center part of the display saying that it is the fingerprint scanner. Our exclusive report says the same. The Samsung Galaxy S10 is expected to be the brand’s first smartphone with an inbuilt fingerprint scanner. In my opinion, the Galaxy M50 will be the second. Let us now have a look at the expected launch date, price in India, and specifications of the upcoming Galaxy M50
Samsung Galaxy M50 Expected Launch Date and Price
Rumor has it that the Galaxy M50 will launch alongside the Galaxy A50 (an offline variant of the same device) by the end of June in the Indian market. As far as the pricing goes, the Galaxy M50 could start at INR 35,000 for the base variant and could go up to INR 45,000 for the top of the line variant.
