The Samsung Galaxy A52 4G price starts at €349 (roughly Rs 30,300) for the base 6GB. +128GB variant. There is also an 8GB + 128GB storage option.

The 5G variant is priced at €429 (roughly Rs 37,200). It comes with 6GB and 8GB RAM options.

The Samsung Galaxy A72 price starts at €449 (roughly Rs 38,900). It also comes with 6GB and 8GB RAM options.

Design and Display

All three Galaxy A-series smartphones launched at the Awesome Unpacked Event come with a polycarbonate body. The front has an Infinity-O panel with thin bezels, whereas the rear panel has a quad-camera setup. The three devices come with an IP67-certification for water and dust resistance.

At the front, the Samsung Galaxy A52 has a 6.5-inch display. The 4G variant comes with a 90Hz refresh rate, whereas the 5G model has a 120Hz refresh rate screen. The Samsung Galaxy A72 4G comes with a 6.7-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. All three AMOLED screens feature a 1080p panel and come with a peak brightness of 800 nits.

Camera

All three smartphones feature a quad-camera setup on the back. The Samsung Galaxy A52 4G and 5G models come with a 64MP primary camera sensor and a 12MP ultrawide sensor. The camera module also has a 5MP depth camera and a 5MP macro camera sensor.

The Samsung Galaxy A72, on the other hand, has a 64MP primary camera and a 12MP ultrawide sensor. It also has a 5MP macro camera. Instead of a 5MP depth sensor, the Galaxy A72 comes with an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

For selfies, the two smartphones come with a 32MP front camera sensor.

Performance

The Samsung Galaxy A52 4G and Samsung Galaxy A72 come with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC. The Galaxy A52 5G draws power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC. All three devices pack 6GB/ 8GB RAM and come with up to 256GB of internal memory. Storage can be further expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card.

The Galaxy A52 comes with a 4,5000 mAh battery, whereas the Galaxy A72 packs a bigger 5000 mAh battery. The smartphones come with support for 25W fast charging. However, Samsung will ship the devices with a 15W fast charger in the box.

The devices come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and face unlock. They boot on Android 11-based OneUI 3.0 out of the box. Samsung has promised three years of software upgrades and four years of security patches on the Samsung Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 models.

Summary

All three devices come with a bunch of improvements over their predecessors. The notable improvements come in the display and camera department. Even the performance unit has been improved to offer better performance. They also come with an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. Samsung has also announced three-generations worth of Android updates and four years of security patches on the three devices.

At the time of writing this, Samsung has not announced the pricing and availability details of the Galaxy A52 4G and 5G, and Galaxy A72 in India.
