Samsung Galaxy A52, Galaxy A72 Reportedly Launching in India Mid-March

Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy A52, and the Galaxy A72 smartphone in India around mid-March.


The Samsung Galaxy A52, and the Galaxy A72 smartphones are in the news from the last couple of months. These handsets had already cleared various certifications and were even spotted in benchmark listing several times. Samsung is yet to make these smartphones official. However, we now have some news regarding the launch of these phones in India. 91Mobiles has learned from its sources that Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy A52, and the Galaxy A72 smartphone in India around mid-March.

Galaxy A52, A72 to Launch in India Mid-March

If we have a recap of the earlier news regarding these handsets, both the A52 and the A72 are supposed to have 4G and 5G variants. The Galaxy A52 is expected to feature a 6.5-inch Full HD+ Infinity-O Super AMOLED display, with a pixel density of 420ppi. The 4G model of the A52 could offer a 90Hz refresh rate, while the 5G variant is expected to come with a 120Hz display. Under the hood, the smartphone might pack in Snapdragon 720G SoC, which will be paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. There will also be a base model of A52 that shall possibly include 6GB of RAM. On the software front, the smartphone is supposed to run Android 11-based One UI 3.0 out of the box.

As far as the imaging aspect of the A52 go, it is expected to sport a quad-camera setup. The camera module is supposed to house in a primary a 64MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro sensor. At the front for the selfies and video calling, the A52 might feature a single 32MP camera. The whole package is said to be fueled by a 4500mAh battery that might have a 25W fast-charging support.

Moving to the Galaxy A72, it is said to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The 4G variant of the A72 is expected to come with Snapdragon 720G SoC, while the 5G model might pack Snapdragon 750G SoC. The base model of the A72 should pack in 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage, whereas the higher-end variant could include 8GB of RAM and 256G internal storage. Similar to the A52, the Galaxy A72 is also expected to run Android 11 out of the box. Additionally, the Galaxy A72 is supposed to offer the same camera configuration at the front and back as that of the A52.

The Galaxy A72 is confirmed to pack in a 5000mAh battery that should have 25W fast-charging support. As far as the pricing of the A52 4G variant go, it might retail for around EUR 349, while the 5G version is supposed to cost Euro 449. The Galaxy A72 4G variant with 128GB storage is expected to be priced at around Euro 449, while the 256GB model may cost around Euro 509.
