The upcoming Galaxy A series smartphones have been in the news for a long time. Samsung Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A34 5G are set to launch soon globally. Previously, it was tipped to launch on March 15 globally. The pricing of the smartphone has also been tipped for the Indian market. Ahead of the launch, Samsung has created a micro-site for the forthcoming smartphone. The micro-site reveals the launch date of the upcoming Galaxy A series smartphone in India. Apart from this, the site also tells us about the highlights of the forthcoming device.
Samsung Galaxy A54 5G Launch Date Revealed: Expected Specifications and Pricing
The micro-site created by Samsung reveals that it will launch a new A-series smartphone on March 16, 2023, in India. The event will kick off at noon, and the site has hinted about the upcoming Galaxy A54 5G smartphone. The company describes the event as “Join to Amp your Awesome on March 16, 12 PM.” The Indian launch of the smartphone is scheduled for a day after the global launch.
The images used in the micro-site are similar to the leaked render of the Galaxy A54 5G smartphone. The site confirms the smartphone will feature an IP67 rating identical to other Galaxy A5X series smartphones. It seems Samsung will not launch the Galaxy A34 5G in India with A54 5G. The smartphone may be launched later in India with a different branding.
The site also tells us that the upcoming smartphone will have better low-light photography and a premium design with a glass back on the rear. It is a step up from the existing Galaxy A53 5G, which features a polycarbonate rear panel. Samsung Galaxy A54 5G is said to feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution. The display will have a refresh rate of 120Hz and a punch-hole in the centre.
Underneath, the Galaxy A54 5G will be equipped with Exynos 1380 chipset built on the 5nm process. The chipset will pair up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It will run on OneUI 5.1 based on Android 13 out of the box. Samsung will equip the smartphone with a triple-rear camera setup. The setup will consist of a primary 50MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture and OIS.
A 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor will accompany it with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 5MP macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. The punch-hole inside the display will house the 32MP selfie camera. The smartphone will be backed by a 5000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. Since the smartphone has a glass back panel, it is likely to come with support for wireless charging.
