The Samsung Galaxy A60’s design and specifications have been leaked on the internet, ahead of its impending launch. The leak comes just after the company launched three new Galaxy A series of smartphones: Galaxy A10, Galaxy A30, and Galaxy A50. Going by the leaked information, the Galaxy A60 appears to feature an even larger Super AMOLED screen, better cameras on the front as well as the rear, and a higher-capacity battery compared to the Galaxy A50.
The image of the phone has been leaked by PriceKart, while its specifications have been leaked through Chinese social media website Weibo. Let us have a look at the design and specifications of the Galaxy A60.
Samsung Galaxy A60 Features, Specifications
The Galaxy A60 will reportedly use the same ‘3D Glasstic’ material body that we’ve seen with the Galaxy A30 and the Galaxy A50. The phone could feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity U screen with Full HD+ resolution (2340×1080 pixels), a U-shaped notch, and an in-display fingerprint reader.
Hiding within the notch is a 32MP selfie camera (mostly a Samsung ISOCELL GD1), which is higher resolution compared to the 25MP selfie camera used in the Galaxy A50. The rear-facing triple camera consists of a 32MP or 35MP sensor with a wide-angle lens, an 8MP sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. There’s LED flash and phase-detection autofocus. The phone can capture images with background blur and record 4K videos at 30fps. From what it looks like, it could have a much better camera than what’s currently available in Galaxy A series of smartphones.
The Galaxy A60 will reportedly run Android 9 Pie-based One UI software. The phone will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor. This chipset uses two Kryo 460 Gold CPU cores clocked at 2GHz, six Kryo 460 Silver CPU cores clocked at 1.7GHz and Adreno 612 GPU. This is the same chipset that is used in the recently released Redmi Note 7 Pro and Vivo V15 Pro smartphones. The Galaxy A60 will also feature 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone also features a larger, 4500mAh battery to power the larger, 6.7-inch screen. The Galaxy A60 will most probably feature the same 15W fast charging technology that we saw with the recent Galaxy M series and Galaxy A series of phones.
The Galaxy A50 will also feature a dual-SIM card slot, dual-band Wi-Fi ac/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There appears to be a single loudspeaker at the bottom, just beside the USB Type-C port. It is still not clear if the phone features IP68 certification for dust and water resistant or Samsung Pay.
