Samsung has launched an all-new smartphone in India – the Galaxy A70s. The device hasn’t been launched anywhere else in the world, which makes the India launch of the Galaxy A70s its global debut.

As the name suggests, the Galaxy A70s comes as the successor to the Galaxy A70 that was launched in India earlier this year. The Galaxy A70s is placed between the range-topping, Galaxy A80 and the more affordable Galaxy A50s that launched in India last week.

The Galaxy A70s is the first smartphone from the brand to feature a 64MP rear camera. Samsung Galaxy A70s Price in India, Availability

Samsung has launched the Galaxy A70s in India in two memory configurations – 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. The former costs INR 28,999 and the latter has a price tag of INR 30,999. Both variants of the smartphone will go on sale in India starting 28th September through Samsung’s official online store, major e-commerce websites, and local retail outlets.

Samsung Galaxy A70s Specifications

As I’ve mentioned earlier, the Galaxy A70s is the first smartphone from the brand to feature a 64MP rear camera. This camera uses pixel-binning to produce brighter images in lowlight conditions. With the pixel-binning turned on, the camera produces 16MP final images. Accompanying the main camera is an 8MP ultrawide camera featuring 12mm focal length and f/2.2 aperture. There is also a 5MP depth-sensor to aid in images with bokeh effect. The front-facing camera of the device is a 32MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera can record 4K videos at 30 frames per second, and the front-facing camera can record Full HD videos at 30 frames per second.

The Galaxy A70s has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution. The display comes with a tiny, U-shaped notch at the top, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. There is also an in-display fingerprint scanner onboard. In terms of performance, the device features Snapdragon 675 SoC. This chipset is built on 11nm manufacturing process, and it has eight Kryo 460 cores and Adreno 612 GPU. The smartphone ships with Android 9 Pie operating system customized with Samsung’s beautiful and feature-packed One UI. Powering the device is a 4500mAh battery supporting 25W SuperFast charging. Other features of the device include dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.0. 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.
