Samsung is expected to grace us with the Galaxy A70s any day now. The phone quite recently bagged TENAA and Wi-Fi Alliance certifications and was also spotted on Geekbecnh a while back. We even exclusively reported the color variants in which the Galaxy A70s would be launching in. Now we have another report that claims to reveal pretty much all the major specifications of the upcoming smartphone. A Google Play console listing confirms that the Galaxy A70s will run on a Snapdragon 675 SoC and feature a Full HD+ display.
To be precise, the Google Play Console listing shows that the A70s offers a 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution screen that gets a pixel density ratio of 420 PPI. While the mentioned resolution is exactly the same as that of the Galaxy A70, the pixel density is a bit higher, which suggests the A70s might feature a slightly smaller sized display.
As for the CPU, we have a full breakdown of the Snapdragon 6150 which is the internal designation given to the commercial Snapdragon 675 SoC. The listing shows that this chipset has been paired with 6GB of RAM. for software, the phone is shown to run Android 9 Pie.
Everything Else We Know Of The Galaxy A70s So Far
Based on previous leaks, it is expected that the Galaxy A70s will bear a prism gradient design similar to what has been showcased on the recently launched Galaxy A30s and Galaxy A50s. The phone is expected to come in three color options: Black, White, and Lavender. Leaked renders showcase the phone to come with a triple rear camera setup accompanied by an LED flash just underneath. The front of the phone, on the other hand, is shown to feature an Infinity-U design display.
Rumors suggest the Galaxy A70s will get its rear primary camera bumped up to the 64MP Bright GW1 sensor. The rest of the setup will likely consist of a wide-angle camera and a depth sensor. The display size should be about the same as its predecessor (6.7-inches), but if the DPI has indeed increased then expect a marginally smaller screen. The battery on this phone will likely measure in at 4,400mAh and charge over a USB Type-C port. We know the phone will run Android 9 Pie, and expect Samsung to use its latest build of One UI skin on top.
Based on what its predecessor was priced at, it is possible the A70s will costs around INR 32,990 in India at launch. The exact launch date is also a mystery for now, but many expect the phone to be unveiled before the end of this month.
