Samsung Galaxy A80 Up for Pre-orders in India Via Flipkart with 5% Cashback Offer on Citi Credit Cards

After months of waiting, Samsung finally announced the release of the Samsung Galaxy A80 for the Indian market a few days ago. At launch, Samsung announced that the phone would be going pre-orders starting from July 22. True to its word, the handset is indeed available on pre-order from both Flipkart and Samsung India’s official online store. The phone maker is also offering a few bundled offers for customers who decide to pre-book the smartphone. Let’s take a closer look at what these offers are.

Flat 5% Cashback On Samsung Galaxy A80 Pre-orders

The Samsung Galaxy A80 has been priced at INR 47,990 in India. Only a single storage variant is offered with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM. You do get to choose from three color options – Angel Gold, Ghost White, and Phantom Black. Interested buyers can pre-book the smartphone be heading over to Flipkart and Samsung India web store.

On every pre-order of this smartphone, Samsung is offering flat 5 percent cashback to those who make their purchase using a Citibank Credit Card. This offer seems to be valid on both online stores and is said to be applicable on both EMI and non-EMI purchases. From August 1, the Galaxy A80 should be available for direct purchase. Interestingly, the 5% Citibank cashback offer seems to be valid until August 31.


Flipkart doesn’t mention a cap for how much amount one can avail with the Citibank offer. However, a cap of INR 200 is attached to a 5 percent cashback offer that the e-retail site offers to Axis Bank Buzz Credit Card users.

Additionally, Samsung is offering a one-time screen replacement plan for just INR 990 extra. This offer can be claimed by only those customers who pre-book a Samsung Galaxy A80 before July 31 and activate it before August 15.

Samsung Galaxy A80 Specifications, Features

The Galaxy A80 is an upper mid-range smartphone from Samsung. It is touted as the first smartphone to feature a stating triple camera setup. This setup is comprised of a 48MP primary camera, 8MP ultrawide camera, and a ToF 3D depth sensor. This setup is located on a sliding-rotating mechanism so that the same cameras can be used for both rear photography and selfies. This also helps the large 6.7-inch FHD+ resolution Super AMOLED screen at the front stay free from the controversial notch design. This phone also boasts an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The Galaxy A80 comes powered by a Snapdragon 730G chipset (same as the SDM730 but with some gaming-centric enhancements). This chipset has been paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for Indian customers. The phone ships with Android 9 Pie-based OneUI. As for the battery, the phone houses a 3700mAh cell inside that charges over a USB Type-C port and supports 25W fast charging. The only feature missing on this phone is the 3.5mm headphone jack.
