Last month, Samsung announced the Galaxy A8s smartphone in China. The smartphone featured the long-teased punch-hole display design. According to the confirmation given by Samsung Mobile’s China CFO, the company is now gearing up to launch another variant in the A8s series, dubbed Galaxy A8s FE. Just like the Galaxy A8s, the new FE variant will also be launched in China on February 14, 2019. Interestingly, the ‘FE’ moniker stands for Female Edition. The outlook of the phone makes it quite clear why it is being called a special edition for the female users. Samsung will be bringing it in two color options in gradient finish to attract more female buyers.

Samsung Galaxy A8s FE In Gradient Finish With Striking Color Schemes
The company will be introducing the Galaxy A8s FE in two variants distinguished by their color scheme on the top and the middle panel. Going by the leaked images of what appears to be the demo units, the first variant has a light yellow color that compounds with the light pink color in the middle. The second variant, on the other hand, starts with the light pink color on the top and neatly blends with light blue color in the middle.
Being the demo unit images, we cannot spot the cameras, connectivity port, fingerprint sensor, and other features on the phone. The design of the Galaxy A8s FE is exactly like the Galaxy A8s, but they look quite aloof from each other when it comes to contrast color schemes used on the two starkly. As of now, we only know that this special edition of the A8s is debuting in China and would later make its way to South Korea. There’s no confirmation when the Galaxy A8s and the Galaxy A8s FE will break barriers and debut in regions outside China.
Samsung Galaxy A8s FE Could Feature Same Specs As Galaxy A8s
We wonder whether the Galaxy A8s FE will follow the specs sheet as the Galaxy A8s. If it does, then we must refresh your memory on the specs of the Galaxy A8s. The phone packs a 6.39-inch Infinity-O Full HD+ display at 1080×2340 pixels resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. A 1.7GHz Snapdragon 710 chipset powers the device with 6GB/ 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage.
Concerning optics, the phone features a 24MP+5MP+10MP triple camera setup on the rear with an LED flash. On the front, the Galaxy A8s settles for a 24MP selfie snapper. A 3,400mAh battery backs the smartphone. There is a fingerprint sensor on the rear and a dedicated Bixby button on the left side of the phone.
It remains to be confirmed by the company whether the Galaxy A8s FE conforms to the same specs sheet or has some upgraded specs to woo more buyers.
