Samsung is long rumoured to be working on an affordable Galaxy Buds TWS earbuds version. It is expected to be called Galaxy Buds FE and has appeared in various leaks so far. The earbuds were spotted on the FCC certification website last month and the user manual leaked last week. The launch date is still a mystery but in the meantime, it is time for a new leak that showcases the upcoming earbuds in both colours and from different angles.
Samsung Galaxy Buds FE Colour Renders Leak
Roland Quandt of WinFuture, a German publication, has shared multiple Galaxy Buds FE renders. These renders give us our best look at the upcoming affordable earbuds so far. You can see both colour options i.e. White and Graphite Gray at different angles to get an idea of what they would look like.
The leaked renders show the charging case, earbuds, pogo pins, wing tips, touch-sensitive sensor, charging contacts, antenna/touch area, and microphone of both variants.
The charging case has the same White colour on the outside for both colour options. The only difference is on the inside where you will see a Graphite Gray colour paintjob. The White earbuds have a completely White charging case.
In terms of specifications and features, the Galaxy Buds FE are said to feature a single 12mm driver. The report says Samsung will market affordable earbuds as “improved bass reproduction”. Users will be able to control media playback and perform other actions by tapping the external area of the earbuds.
The charging case looks the same as the Galaxy Buds Pro 2. It is said to have a USB Type-C port for charging purposes. Unfortunately, the leak does not offer details about battery life or charging time. The good thing is we do have some information about the pricing.
The Galaxy Buds FE will be the cheapest Galaxy Buds TWS earbuds so far. These are expected to cost USD 99.99 in the United States. The recommended retail price for European markets is said to be EUR 88.90. These estimated prices are based on the information shared by retailers in the U.S. and Europe respectively.
The exact launch date is still unknown but these are speculated to go official sooner than later. Samsung also has Galaxy S23 FE 5G smartphone lined up for release in the coming weeks. It is quite possible both these new FE products could go official on the same day.
This new Galaxy FE smartphone is tipped to arrive in two processor variants. One variant is expected to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and another is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2200 chipset. It will be the most affordable release in the Galaxy S23 series which includes the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.
