Samsung’s Galaxy M-series will soon be debuting an entry-level device called the Galaxy M01 and it will launch along the Galaxy M11 in India. As per an exclusive report by 91mobiles, both devices are set to be announced in the country in the first week of June. They will be competing against entry-level phones from Realme and Xiaomi such as Realme C3 and the Redmi 8A. The Galaxy M01 has been in the leaks for a long time and earlier reports have painted an idea of what to expect from the device. The Galaxy M11, on the other hand, has already been announced in the UAE back in March.
Galaxy M01: Expected price and specifications
As per the report, Samsung’s Galaxy M01 will be powered by a Snapdragon 439 SoC and it will feature up to 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There will be an option to expand it using a microSD card. On the display front, the device will have a 5.71-inch display with a 720 x 1,560 resolution. In terms of software, Samsung’s custom OneUI skin will be overlaying an unknown Android version on the device.
Optics on the phone will include a dual-camera setup with a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth lens. On the front, there will be a 5MP selfie shooter housed in a waterdrop notch. As far as authentication goes, there will be no fingerprint sensor on the device, instead, it will rely on the face unlock. Powering the whole setup will be a 4,000mAh battery with 5W charging support. The phone will be priced under Rs 10,000 but the exact price is not known.
Galaxy M11: Price and specifications
Since the Galaxy M11 has already been announced we are aware of the specs of the device. The device has a 6.4-inch HD+ TFT display with an Infinity O panel. It is powered by the Snapdragon 450 SoC and has up to 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage. It runs on the latest Android 10 with the OneUI custom skin. There are a total of three cameras on the back with a 13MP main sensor supported by a 5MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front there is an 8MP selfie snapper. Powering the phone is a 5,000mAh cell with a 15W charging support. The Galaxy M11 is also touted to start at price below Rs 10,000.
