Samsung has silently launched the Galaxy M13 budget phone. The company has announced the successor to the Samsung Galaxy M12 without much fanfare. The phone is currently listed on Samsung’s official mobile press website, which confirms all the specifications of the device along with a few images as well. While there has been a lot of news around the Galaxy M13 5G, the one announced now is a 4G version.

The Samsung Galaxy M13 is powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos SoC and it comes with 4GB of RAM. In terms of camera, the device offers a triple rear camera setup and a selfie camera on the front, which is located inside the Infinity-V notch. The phone also comes with a large battery, but it does miss out on super-fast charging. Let’s take a look at the new Samsung Galaxy M13 in detail.

Samsung Galaxy M13: Specifications and Features

The Galaxy M13 comes with a 6.6-inch and Full HD+ resolution. It has an Infinity-V display notch as well. The website does not reveal the screen refresh rate of the device. For context, the Galaxy M12 was launched with a 90Hz display, but it had an HD+ screen resolution. The display on the Galaxy M13 might be an LCD with a 60Hz refresh rate. The device comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.


Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Exynos 850 processor with a clock speed of up to 2GHz. The device is paired with Mali-G52 MP1 GPU. The phone comes in two storage options 一 64GB and 128GB and both the variants offer 4GB of RAM. In addition to that, the device also supports microSD card up to 1TB. The phone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery and it is said to offer support for 15W charging via a Type-C port.

Moving to the camera department, the Galaxy M13 comes with a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 5MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2,4. There is also an LED flash. To the front, the phone sports an 8MP selfir camera with f/2.2 and fixed focus.

In terms of software, the device runs on Android 12 based on One UI Core 4.1 skin. The phone measures 76.9 x 165.4 x 8.4mm and weighs 192 grams. Other features include Samsung Knox for additional security, LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4G+5GHz), and Bluetooth 5.0. Pricing of the Galaxy M13 is yet to be announced along with the availability of the device.
