Samsung seems to be gearing up to launch a new M-series smartphone. A couple of weeks ago, we spotted a Samsung device with model number SM-M215G on BIS, and Google Play Supported device list. The device support page was also spotted on the Samsung India website, hinting towards an imminent launch. Google Play Supported device listing revealed that the handset will carry Galaxy M21 Prime Edition moniker. In a new development, the moniker has been updated on Google Play supported device list, and now the upcoming smartphone might be called Samsung Galaxy M21 2021. Let us take a look at the details,

Google Play Supported device listing confirms that the upcoming SM-M215G will carry Galaxy M21 2021 Edition moniker. We can expect the smartphone to make its debut soon. Since Samsung is using Galaxy M21 moniker, the smartphone might be similar to last year’s Galaxy M21.


Samsung Galaxy M21: Specifications, and Features

Samsung Galaxy M21 features a 6.4-inch FHD+ sAMOLED display with 420nits brightness, and a Infinity-U notch. Under-the-hood, the smartphone packs an octa-core Exynos 9611 with Mali-G72MP3 GPU. The SoC on the Galaxy M21 gets coupled with up to 6GB LPDDR4x RAM, and up to 128GB UFS 2.1 storage, which can be further expanded via micro-SD card.

Coming to the optics, the smartphone features a 48MP primary sensor that gets accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. For the selfies, it offers a 20MP front camera. The battery unit on the Galaxy M21 is a 6000mAh unit, which supports 15W fast charging support. The handset also offers a Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
