Samsung Galaxy M22 With MediaTek Helio G80 SoC Spotted on Geekbench, Launch Expected Soon

Samsung recently introduced the Galaxy M42 5G smartphone in India. Now, it seems like the Korean tech giant is working on another mid-range M-series handset. This afternoon, we spotted a new Galaxy smartphone with model number SM-M225F. This is the first time the SM-M225F has appeared on the web. Going by the model number, it seems like the Samsung Galaxy M22, the successor to the Galaxy M21 which was announced last year. The Geekbench listing has revealed the presence of 1.8GHz octa-core SoC, 4GB RAM, and Android 11. Let us take a look at all the ket details revealed via the SM-M225F Geekbench listing.

Samsung Galaxy M22 Could be a Rebranded Galaxy A22 4G!

The upcoming Samsung handset managed to score 1361 points in the multicore test, while it scored 374 points in the single-core test. The benchmark listing further reveals that the Samsung Galaxy M22 will be equipped with an octa-core MT6769V/CT SoC (code name ‘k69v1_64_titan_buffalo’). It seems like the upcoming SM-M22FV will be powered by MediaTek Helio G80 processor.

The benchmark listing also that the handset will pack 4GB of RAM. On the software side, the upcoming smartphone will boot Android 11 out of the box, but as usual, there will be Samsung’s in-house OneUI on top. We can expect the handset to pack some upgrades compared to its predecessor – Galaxy M21, but we can not really say anything with surety for now.

The Galaxy M22 isn’t the only upcoming Samsung device that will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 processor. A recent report revealed that the upcoming Galaxy A22 4G will also feature the same processor. This leads us to believe that the upcoming Galaxy M22 will be nothing but a rebranded Galaxy A22 4G.
