Samsung has launched quite a few budget and mid-range smartphones this year. The company has now quietly unveiled a new Galaxy M-series phone. The Galaxy M22 is the latest budget Samsung smartphone launched in Germany. The device is expected to go official in other markets as well in the coming weeks. The device comes with some budget specifications. It has a polycarbonate shell on the back. The rear panel has vertical lines on the back and houses a quad-camera setup. The Samsung Galaxy M22 has been quietly unveiled in Germany. The budget phone from Samsung features a quad-camera setup and a 90Hz display. Samsung is expected to launch the device in other countries very soon. The Galaxy M22 price has been not listed on the website yet. It comes in three colours – Black, Blue and White.
The phone sports a 6.4-inch HD+ AMOLED display with a 720 x 1600 resolution. It has a 90Hz refresh rate and a water-drop notch on top for the front camera. The device has a 13MP front camera.
On the back, the quad-camera setup has a 48MP primary sensor. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide lens with a 123-degree field-of-view, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro lens.
The phone draws power from an octa-core processor, which is likely the Helio G80 SoC. The SoC is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There is an option to expand the storage by up to 1TB via a microSD card. Under the hood is a 5000 mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.
Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G VoLTE, etc. The device runs Android 11-based One UI 3 and has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
