Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime to be Available in Three Color Options and One Memory Variant in India: Report

Samsung is planning to add a new smartphone in its Galaxy M-series portfolio called the Galaxy M Prime. The company has already started teasing the phone on Amazon and likely to be launched as a variant of Galaxy M31. According to the report from 91Mobiles, the South Korean tech giant is planning to launch the phone during the Great Indian Sale, which is said to be kick-off on October 17th. Popular tipster Ishan Agarwal told folks at 91Mobiles that the smartphone will be called Galaxy M31 Prime Edition.

The tipster also suggests that the Galaxy M31 Prime will be launched in three colour variants including Space Black, Ocean Blue, and the new Iceberg Blue. Agarwal also told them that the phone will be available in only 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model.

Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime Specifications and Features

The Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime seems to similar to the regular version in terms of specifications. The smartphone will flaunt an Infinity U-display with waterdrop notch design to accommodate the front camera. As per previous leaks, the Galaxy M31 Prime Edition will feature a rectangular shaped quad-camera setup, along with a fingerprint scanner mounted on the rear panel.


The quad-camera module includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 5-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a 5-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, along with an LED flash. Furthermore, the smartphone will feature a 32-megapixel selfies snapper at the front, which sits underneath a waterdrop notch.

Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime is said to be powered by an octa-core in-house Exynos 9611 SoC, clubbed with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage that can be further expanded via microSD card. The handset is fuelled by a 6,000mAh battery with a 15W fast charging support. It runs on Android 10-based OneUI skin out of the box.
