Samsung has already revealed that it will launch the Galaxy M40 in India on June 11 at 6 PM IST. The brand, however, did not reveal the specifications yet, and we don’t know anything about the device, as it has not yet launched in any other country. Well, today there has been some development to the topic. Mukul Sharma, a known person when it comes to leaking information about unreleased devices, has revealed the specifications of the Galaxy M40.
Mukul claims that the Galaxy M40 will feature a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, and 85.17% screen to body ratio. The smartphone is said to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor, 6GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB storage, and Android 9 Pie OS. According to him, the smartphone will have three cameras at the rear – a 32MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 5MP depth sensor. The front-facing camera is said to be a 16MP unit. According to Mukul, the smartphone will have a 3500mAh battery, USB Type-C port, and Wi-Fi ac.

These specifications do corroborate with the teasers posted on Galaxy M40’s official page. Moreover, a similar specifications sheet has landed on Slashleaks. Therefore, I think it is safe to say that the Galaxy M40 will indeed launch with these specifications. Well, the launch is near; we won’t have to wait for too long to confirm.
How Much Will the Galaxy M40 Cost in India?
The Senior Vice President of Smartphone Business at Samsung India, Asim Warsi has revealed in an interview with Gadgets360 that the brand will price the Galaxy M40 around INR 20,000. So, there is no second guessing involved here.
How Will It Compete Against Other Smartphones in The Segment?
With a price tag of around INR 20,000, the Galaxy M40 will compete directly with the likes of Redmi Note 7 Pro and the Poco F1. When you consider the leaked specifications of the Galaxy M40, it is no match for the Poco F1. However, the Galaxy M40 might give a tough competition to the Redmi Note 7 Pro, as it offers similar hardware. The competition will get even tougher when Realme launches the Realme X. Do let us know in the comments below what do you think about the upcoming Galaxy M40.
