The device is just a rebrand of the Galaxy A42 5G that was announced by Samsung back in November 2020. The newly launched Galaxy M42 5G bears the same specs and design as that of the A42 5G, meaning that you still get a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display and Snapdragon 750G chipset under the hood. The device offers 5G connectivity support and is backed by a massive 5000mAh battery that supports 15W fast-charging. The Galaxy M42 5G comes in the Prism Dot Black and Prism Dot Gray colour option. The device is available in 6GB/8GB RAM options with standard 128GB of internal storage. The base 6GB + 128GB model is priced at around Rs 21,999. The higher-end 8GB RAM variant retails for Rs 23,999. Both these models are available with the introductory price of Rs 19,999 and Rs 21,999 respectively for a limited period. The Galaxy M42 5G will go on sale starting from May 1st through Amazon and Samsung’s online store website.
