Samsung has confirmed the Galaxy M53 5G launch date in India. The company will launch its new Galaxy M-series smartphone on April 22 in India. The upcoming Galaxy smartphone was unveiled earlier this month globally. The device will arrive in India with the same specs as the global variant.

Ahead of the official launch, a new leak has now revealed the Galaxy M53 5G India variant’s RAM, storage and colour options. Samsung Galaxy M53 5G will be the next mid-range smartphone from the company launching in India after the Galaxy M33 5G. The device will debut on April 22. It will be available for purchase via Amazon India, Samsung e-store and a few other channels. Ahead of the launch, tipster Sudhanshu has revealed the RAM, storage and colour options of the device.
The tipster claims that the Galaxy M53 5G will arrive in two storage options. The Indian variant’s base model will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There will be another storage configuration with 8GB of RAM along with 128GB of internal storage. In addition to this, Sudhanshu notes that the phone will launch in two colours – Blue and Green.
The rest of the specs of the device will remain the same. The Galaxy M53 5G comes with a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. It has support for a 120Hz refresh rate as well. The screen has a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the front camera.
It comes with a quad-camera setup on the back. The phone has a 108MP main camera sensor. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera sensor and two 2MP sensors for depth and macro photography. The main camera has support for optical image stabilisation (OIS). For selfies and video calls, the device has a 32MP front camera.
Under the hood, the Galaxy M53 5G has a MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC. There is a 5000 mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. It is unknown at the moment if the India variant will include a 15W fast charger in the box. The phone supports storage expansion via a microSD card. Users can expand the memory up to 1TB. The device also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and AI face unlock. Lastly, the phone runs OneUI 4.1 based on Android 12 out of the box.
