The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G has been launched in India today as the latest 5G smartphone in the M series. The Galaxy M53 5G is the successor to the Galaxy M52 5G, which was launched in September last year. The device is priced under Rs 25,000 and will take on the likes of the Realme 9 Pro series, Redmi Note 11 Pro series, OnePlus Nord CE 2, and more.

The Galaxy M53 5G comes with a Super AMOLED display and it also offers a 120Hz screen refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone is backed by a Dimensity 900 chipset, which is further paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. This is also the first Samsung Galaxy M series device to feature a 108MP main camera. The phone draws power from a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. The base model of the Galaxy M53 5G will come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is priced at Rs 26,499 and the 8GB+128GB model is priced at Rs 28,499. The device is available in two colours – Deep Ocean Blue and Mystique Green. The device will go on sale on April 29 on Amazon. During the initial sale, the device will be available for Rs 23,999 and Rs 25,999 with the ICICI card offer.

The Galaxy M53 5G sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display. The phone comes with a 120Hz refresh rate, Infinity-O type notch, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front. Under the hood, the phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor, which is built on a 6nm process with up to 2.4GHz. It is paired with up to ARM Mail G68 GPU. The Galaxy M53 5G will be available in two configurations 一 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB. The phone also comes with RAM Plus feature, which supports up to 8GB of Virtual RAM on the 8GB variant and up to 6GB on the 6GB variant.

In terms of optics, there is a quad-camera setup with a 108MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens 一 both with an f/2.4 aperture. There is a 32MP selfie snapper on the front, which Sony IMX 616 sensor. The camera offers features like AR zone, object eraser, background blur, and much more. The device comes with a 5,000mA battery and 25W fast charging. However, there won’t be a charger in the box.

The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G also comes with a vapour cooling chamber to keep the phone cool. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Android 12 OS based on OneUI 4, voice focus, which cuts out loud ambient noise during calls, 7.4mm thickness, Dolby atmos, 5G, 4G LTE, and dual-band Wi-Fi, and Knox security.
