Samsung is planning to introduce three new handsets in India by the end of this year. The report comes from 91Mobiles, based on the information they received from “a person familiar with Samsung India’s strategic plans”. If it turns out to be true, you will watch the Korean giant launch the Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy Note 10 Lite, and Galaxy A51 before your new year party. It conflicts with the earlier speculation that claimed that the Galaxy S10 Lite won’t be launched in India and the A51 will see the light of the day in 2020. But, things change and considering the situation Samsung is in right now, it is not surprising that the Korean brand is increasing the frequency of its launches. With Chinese brands nibbling away its market share in the budget and mid-range segment, Samsung doesn’t have the luxury of longer refresh cycles anymore. So, there’s a good chance of these devices showing up in the next few weeks. In fact, the Galaxy S10 Lite has already been spotted on the US FFC website. Based on that listing, here’s what you can expect.
Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite Speculated Features
Listed as SM-G770F, the Galaxy S20 Lite sports a 6.7-inch display. As tweeted out by Ishan Sharma, who has a good track record for revealing insider information in advance, the Galaxy S10 Lite will be powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset. Though we are not sure if there will be an Exynos powered variant for the Indian subcontinent. In the camera department, you can expect a triple camera setup. It comes in 48 MP + 5 MP + 12 MP configuration. For selfies, it will be equipped with a 32 MP snapper. It is said that the phone may feature 45 W fast-charging support.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite Details Are Scarce
Along with an affordable S-series handset, Samsung will also be adding a watered-down Galaxy Note 10 Lite to its line-up. Identified as SM-N770F, the details of this upcoming phone are still unknown.
Samsung Galaxy A51 Specifications
Thanks to multiple leaks, we know plenty about the Galaxy A51. The phone is expected to feature a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. In a single paragraph, 91Mobiles claims that the phone is “believed to come with punch-hole display” but the selfie camera is placed “in the waterdrop notch display”. I have no clue that’s possible, but that’s what the source is pointing at so I will leave it to that.
The Galaxy A51 may come with a quad-camera setup. It will feature a 48 MP main sensor with a 12 MP wide lens, a 12 MP telephoto lens, and a 5 MP depth sensor. For selfies, you will get a 32 MP front-facing shooter. The phone will be powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 9611 chip. It will pack in 4 GB RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage. It will draw power from a 4,000 mAh battery. On the software side of things, you will get OneUI based on Android 10.
