Samsung launched its Samsung Galaxy S20 FE smartphone a little while ago in the global market. The brand has now brought the device to its Indian fans, as the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE has finally launched in India. The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE features a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, a triple rear camera, and an Exynos 990 processor. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE: Price in India
The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE has been launched in a single memory variant in the country with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage, which is priced at INR 49,999. The device will be sold in the country via Amazon India and the first sale will be on October 16, 2020. Pre-orders will commence from October 9, 2020. There are five color variants to choose from – Cloud Red, Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Navy and Cloud White.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE: Specifications and features
Starting things off with the display of the device, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE sports a 6.5-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display of the device comes with a centrally-aligned single punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. Speaking of, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE has a 32MP front camera.
Moving around the rear of the device, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE sports a triple rear camera setup, which consists of a 12MP wide-angle lens with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens with up to 3X optical zoom and up to 30X digital Space Zoom. The camera module is encased underneath a rectangular module, which also has an LED flash. Other than the camera module, the glasstic back has Samsung branding engraved on it.
The top of the device has a SIM tray and the device’s microphone. At the bottom of the device, there’s another microphone, a USB Type-C charging port, and the speaker grill. The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE has stereo speakers for those interested. The left side of the device has nothing but the antenna lining, while its right side features the power button and the volume up and down buttons.
Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is powered by the company’s in-house octa-core Exynos 990 processor, which is clubbed with up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of internal storage. If 128GB of storage does not suffice for your media consumption needs, the same can be expanded with the help of an external SD card. In terms of software, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE boots Android 10-based OneUI 2.5 skin out of the box, which has the September 2020 Android security patch.
Coming to the battery of the device, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE features a large 4,500mAh battery with scope for up to 25W wired fast charging and up to 15W wireless charging. Note that one would have to buy the 25W charger separately, as the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE does not come with one in the box. Nevertheless, the device features reverse wireless power sharing as well.
Other noteworthy features of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE include NFC, Samsung Knox security, Samsung Pay, and IP68 resistance.
