Samsung Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, S20 Ultra Preorders to Begin Today at 12PM: Price in India, Specifications

Samsung launched its latest flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S20 lineup of smartphones, during the Galaxy Unpacked event on February 12, 2020. Alongside the Galaxy S20 smartphones, the company also launched the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip foldable smartphone. Well, we will talk just about the Samsung Galaxy S20 series in this post, as the Indian prices of the series have finally been officially revealed. As a matter of fact, the Samsung Galaxy S20, Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus, and Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra smartphones will go on pre-orders today at 12 noon. Samsung Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, S20 Ultra: Price in India

Samsung Galaxy S20 will come with a starting price of Rs 66,999 in India. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus will start at Rs 73,999. The top-of-the-line Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra will come with a whopping price tag of Rs 92,999. As said, these are likely the starting prices of the devices, and the company has not given any clarity on what the prices of the other variants of the devices will be. That said, all three smartphones will be available for pre-booking starting today at 12PM IST via the Samsung India official website. Those who successfully pre-book their Samsung Galaxy S20 series smartphone today will receive their device starting from March 6, 2020, making the Indian fans amongst the first customers to receive it in the entire world.

Pre-booking the device also means that you get additional benefits. For instance, the Samsung Galaxy Buds+ will bundle at Rs 2,999 with the Samsung Galaxy S20 and at Rs 1,999 with the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus or the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. Plus, the customer can avail of the Samsung Care+ service at just Rs 1,999. Lastly, the Samsung Galaxy S20 series pre-booking will include Jio double data benefits alongside the one-year unlimited services that are thee with the annual Rs 4,999 plan. That means that the buyers will enjoy 350GB + 350GB high-speed data for the entire year. For the Airtel customers, the pre-booking will come with double data benefits on recharges of Rs 298 and Rs 398 (not one, but 10 consecutive recharges). Vodafone customers can avail of the dual data benefits on recharge of Rs 399 and 56 days validity for the first six recharges.

Samsung Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, S20 Ultra: Specifications and Features

Coming to the specifications of the devices, all three handsets in the Samsung Galaxy S20 series of smartphones run on the latest Android 10 OS out of the box with One UI 2.0 baked on top. The devices feature a Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen sizes, however, are different. The Samsung Galaxy S20 flaunts a 6.2-inch QHD+ panel, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus features a 6.7-inch QHD+ panel, and the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra comes with a 6.9-inch QHD+ panel. Powering all three devices is either an Exynos 990 chipset or a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, which is paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of onboard storage. For India, Samsung will most likely opt for the Exynos chipset.

For the camera enthusiasts out there, the Samsung Galaxy S20 boasts of a triple rear camera setup – 12MP + 12MP + 64MP. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus comes with a quad rear camera setup (there is an additional DepthVision sensor alongside the three cameras found on the vanilla Galaxy S20). The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra takes things further with a quad rear camera setup – a 108MP wide-angle lens, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, a 48MP telephoto lens, and a DepthVision camera. The device can offer up to 100X of optical zoom. The Samsung Galaxy S20 and the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus feature a 10MP selfie snapper, while the Galaxy S20 Ultra sports a massive 40MP selfie camera.
