
Samsung is rumoured to launch the Galaxy S21 Fan Edition later this year. The upcoming Samsung smartphone is expected to borrow specs from its premium siblings and launch at an affordable price. Details of the device have leaked a few times in the past. The latest development reveals some key performance unit details of the device. Samsung’s upcoming Fan Edition smartphone has visited the Geekbench website ahead of its launch. Samsung has not yet announced the official launch date of the Galaxy S21 FE at the time of writing this. Samsung Galaxy S21 FE could launch very soon. The device is listed on the Geekbench website ahead of the launch, revealing key specs. Samsung’s upcoming smartphone is listed on the Geekbench website with the model number SM-G990B. It draws power from a Snapdragon 888 SoC. The variant listed on Geekbench has 8GB of RAM. It runs Android 11 out of the box. We can expect a layer of OneUI 3.0 on top of the Android mobile operating system.
The octa-core processor has a peak clock speed of 2.84GHz. it scores 598 and 2610 in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests.
As per the leaked design renders, the phone will come with a flat screen with thin bezels around it. The display is said to be 6.4-inches tall and will have a hole-punch cutout on the top-centre area of the display. Much like other Galaxy S21 series phones, we can expect the Fan Edition model to come with 120Hz refresh rate support.
The phone is also said to pack a 4500 mAh battery under the hood with 25W fast charging support. It will come with a triple-camera module that has a design similar to the vanilla S21. The camera module is said to feature a 12MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide sensor and an 8MP telephoto camera with 2x/ 3x optical zoom.
