The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE pre-orders have begun in India. The pre-reserve period opens today, and will give users opting for it priority delivery, along with an option to win a Samsung Galaxy SmartTag for free. The pre-order period for the smartphone has begun today, January 5, and will continue until Monday, January 10. Sales of the smartphone will begin from Tuesday, January 11, on Amazon India as well as the Samsung India e-commerce portal.

How to pre-reserve Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

Pre-bookings of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE can be done by buyers on the Samsung India website. To reserve, users can visit here, and make a payment of Rs 999 to buy the ‘Next Galaxy VIP Pass’ from the site. Buying the pass makes buyers eligible to be one of the first to get their hands on the device in India. Subsequently, Samsung says that buyers will also get a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy SmartTag connected object tracker with the smartphone, at no additional cost.

During the pre-sale period between January 5 and 10, buyers can choose to cancel their pre-book pass at any point. Doing this will cancel the pre-booking order, and the money charged from them will be refunded in full. If they go ahead with their booking, buyers will be informed within the pre-book period to make the remainder payment towards their new purchase. The pre-book amount of Rs 999 will be deducted from the final price of the smartphone, which is yet to be announced.

Other key specifications include a 6.4-inch, Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 120Hz refresh rate. The display features a drill-hole in the middle to accommodate the front-facing 32MP camera. To the rear, the device gets a 12MP triple rear camera, which also includes a 12MP ultra-wide camera and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom range. The overall design is largely similar to the standard Galaxy S21 smartphone.

The Galaxy S21 FE will run on Android 12 with OneUI 4.0 onboard out of the box. It is also tipped to be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. No pricing details have been announced, although estimates have pegged its effective market price to be around Rs 50,000 in India.
