Samsung Galaxy S21 series will launch on January 14. The company will launch the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Ultra, and Galaxy S21+ at the Galaxy Unpacked 2021. Details of the three Galaxy S21 flagship smartphones available on the internet reveal that the smartphones are set to get a new design. However, not just the phones but even the retail box is set to get a makeover. Leaked Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy S21 box reveals that the retail packaging is significantly smaller compared to the predecessors. Samsung is gearing up for the Galaxy S21 series launch event. Details about the three smartphones have been leaked multiple times. Rumours of the company not shipping a charging adapter with the flagship smartphone might have been confirmed ahead of the launch.

Tipster Roland Quandt from WinFuture has uploaded the images of the Galaxy S21 series retail boxes. The boxes are smaller in size compared to the Galaxy S20 series. This further confirms the rumour of Samsung ditching the charger from the Galaxy S21 series.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 series box will only include the Quick Start guide, SIM ejector, and USB Type-C charging cable with the device. This means that the AKG earphones will also be removed from the Galaxy S21 series launch.

Samsung will become the third company after arch-rival Apple and Xiaomi to not add a charging adapter inside the box. Xiaomi skipped adding the charger with the Mi 11 in China. The company did give users an option to bundle the charger for the same price.

Ditching the adapter and earphones has resulted in a smaller box. This will result in Samsung saving packaging costs and also ship more devices at the same time. Further, it is also likely to play the environment card like Apple and Xiaomi.
