Samsung is likely to launch the Galaxy S22 series early next year. The company will debut three new flagship smartphones under its upcoming S-series. These include the S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra. Samsung has not yet confirmed the launch date yet. However, the rumour mill claims that the Galaxy S22 launch event will take place on February 8. While we wait for the official launch details, some key details around the display features have leaked online. According to a new report, Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphones will feature the brightness display on any smartphone. Samsung Galaxy S22+, S22 Ultra display features
Samsung Galaxy S22+ and S22 Ultra will have the maximum peak brightness on any smartphone launched so far, according to a new report. SamMobile claims that the display of the two premium smartphones will have a standard brightness level of 1200 nits. With HDR content on the AMOLED screen, the brightness level can shoot up to 1750 nits.
While the difference between the Ultra models of 2021 and 2022 won’t be much, the S22+ will get a significant upgrade. The S21+’s display has a peak brightness of 1300 nits. With respect to the competition, the S22 series will overtake Xiaomi’s Mi 11 Ultra, which has a peak display brightness of 1700 nits.
The Galaxy S22, which is the base model among the three, will not get any major improvements and will have a screen brightness of 1000 nits and a peak of 1300 nits.
Other specs and features tipped so far
The S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra are rumoured to sport 6.1-inch, 6.55-inch and 6.8-inch displays. While the S22 and S22+ will have a Full HD+ display, the top-tier model will have a 6.8-inch screen. All three devices will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200 SoC depending on the region. The Ultra model is likely to get 45W fast charging support for the 5000 mAh battery, whereas the other two variants will get 25W fast charging. The S22 will pack a 4000 mAh battery, whereas the Plus model will have a 4500 mAh cell.
Design renders of the Ultra model were leaked in the past. It confirms that the device will have an S Pen slot at the bottom edge. The Ultra model has a quad-camera setup on the back with a 108MP primary camera. The camera setup also includes a 12MP ultrawide camera and two 10MP telephoto camera sensors with 3x and 10x optical zoom support. The other two models will have a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 12MP f/2.4 telephoto camera, according to LetsGoDigital.
