Samsung Galaxy S22+ Plus

Samsung Galaxy S22 series will launch on February 9. At the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event, the company will launch three flagship devices. These include the Samsung Galaxy S22, S22 Ultra, and the S22 Plus. There is little unknown about the upcoming Samsung smartphones.

Adding to the list of confirmed specifications leaked so far is a new DEMKO certification listing. The listing confirms the fast charging details of the upcoming Samsung smartphones. Let’s take a look at the Samsung Galaxy S22 series specifications, features and other details.

Samsung Galaxy S22 series DEMKO certification

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will come with an upgraded fast charging tech. As per the new leak, the phone will support 45W fast charging. The phone is rumoured to pack a 5,000mAh battery under the hood.

The DEMKO listing (via 91Mobiles) reveals that the S22 Plus will also be among the Samsung phones to feature 45W fast charging support. The vanilla model will support 25W fast charging. While the Galaxy S22 Plus is said to pack a 4500 mAh battery, the vanilla model could come with a 3700 mAh battery.

Samsung is unlikely to pack a fast charger in the box. Customers will have to either use their old chargers or purchase one separately. All three models will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset or Exynos 2200 SoC depending on the region.

The Ultra model will sport a quad-camera setup on the back with a 108MP main camera. It will come with a 12MP ultrawide camera and two 10MP sensors with 3x and 10x optical zoom support. The other two models will have a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50MP main camera. We can expect these two devices to also feature a 12MP ultrawide camera sensor and 12MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

In terms of display, the vanilla model will have a compact 6.06-inch screen with a Full HD+ resolution. The S22+ will have a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution. The top-end Ultra model will have a 6.8-inch curved 2K AMOLED display. All three phones will have 120Hz refresh rate support. The S22 Ultra will also have a dedicated slot for S Pen.

All three Samsung phones will run Android 12-based OneUI 4.1 out of the box. There is currently no word on the India launch date. However, we can expect the Galaxy S22 series India launch event to be hosted in February itself.
