Samsung Galaxy S22 series launch is rumoured to take place early next year. The news is not a surprise as the company typically unveils its flagship smartphone in January or February. The upcoming Galaxy S22 series is rumoured to debut in February and not January, owing to the global chip shortage situation. As per recent reports, the S22 series will debut on February 8. Samsung has not officially confirmed the rumoured launch date at the moment. However, it looks like the Galaxy S22 launch has hit a roadblock. According to a report by SamMobile, citing South Korea’s Naver, the upcoming Galaxy S22 launch could be delayed.
The company might delay the February 8 launch date and the February 18 sale date, according to local reports. The new rumoured timeline suggests that Samsung’s new flagship will hit the shelves in late February or early March 2022. The reason behind the delay is said to be due to the ongoing supply chain issues. Several smartphone brands have been hit by the ongoing chip shortage. Samsung had to delay the launch of its affordable flagship, the S21 FE to January 2022 due to the same reason.
The delay in the affordable flagship’s launch led to further pushing the launch of the S22 series. The supply chain issues make it worse for Samsung to launch the 2022 flagship. While the company has remained mum about the launch, there is a lot that has leaked about the S22 series. Let’s take a look at the Samsung Galaxy S22 series specs, features and other details.
