Samsung recently launched the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Z Flip 3 in India. The company is now expected to launch its next flagship smartphone series in December 2021 or January 2022. Dubbed the Galaxy S22 series, the company is likely to launch three new flagship devices. These include the vanilla S22, S22 Plus and the S22 Ultra. As the name suggests, the Ultra model will sit at the top with cutting edge features that Samsung has to offer in 2022. While the launch is a few months away, some details of this Ultra model have leaked online. The latest leak reveals the camera specs of the S22 Ultra. Let’s take a look at the leaked Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra camera specs, features and other details.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra camera specs (leaked)
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra could launch in January 2022. Ahead of the launch, the camera specs of the Samsung flagship have leaked. Tipster Ice Universe claims that the South Korean giant will stick to a quad-camera setup on its Ultra S22 flagship. The device will have a 108MP primary camera sensor. The tipster did not reveal any details around the sensor at the time of writing this. Alongside the main camera, the phone will also have a 12MP ultrawide camera and two 10MP sensors with 3x and 10x zoom. The camera setup is the same as the current Galaxy S21 Ultra. Therefore, we can expect Samsung to make changes in the sensor size or other parameters.
The latest leak comes after previous reports, which claimed that Samsung will launch the S22 Ultra with two 12MP telephoto camera sensors that will support 3x and 10x optical zoom. Ice Universe claims that these reports are wrong and Samsung will stick to its 10MP telephoto camera sensors on the S22 Ultra.
A recent report also revealed that the Ultra model will support 45W fast charging, whereas the other two S22 models will support 25W fast charging. The company is also rumoured to launch the devices with a Snapdragon 898 SoC and an Exynos 2200 flagship processor with AMD GPU in different regions.
The Ultra model is likely to sport a 6.8-inch 2K AMOLED LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate support and up to 1800 nits of brightness. It will not have an under-screen camera but instead come with a hole-punch cutout. The display is also said to come with support for S Pen, which will have a dedicated slot at the bottom edge on the left. Other details of the device should surface as we get closer to the launch.
