Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Not Coming This Year as per the Latest Leak

According to a latest leak, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE smartphone is unlikely to launch this year.

  • According to a popular tipster, Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is unlikely to launch this year.
  • The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE was rumoured to be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
  • Last year, Samsung didn’t launch the Galaxy S22 FE due to the chip shortage.

If the latest rumor is to be believed, Samsung Galaxy S23 FE will not be a part of the Galaxy S23 series in India. Notably, the South Korean giant launched the S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra as its latest series of flagship smartphones in the country last month. The chaebol was expected to launch the Fan Edition variant of the Galaxy S23 later this year at the second Galaxy Unpacked event alongside the Galaxy Tab S8 FE tablet, but the plan has been halted apparently. Here’s what we know on the matter.

Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Might Not Launch This Year

As you can see in the tweet above, the latest revelation comes from the noted industry tipster Roland Quandt or @rquandt. In a typical ‘that’s it, that’s the tweet’ fashion, Quandt tweeted, “Sure doesn’t look like there’ll be an S23 FE this year,” and left it at that. It’s unclear why Samsung might not launch the fan-favourite edition this year or whether it has been delayed.

Remember that the brand didn’t launch the Samsung Galaxy S22 FE after the chip shortage. Samsung was supposed to manufacture 3 million Galaxy S22 FE model units. However, due to the chip shortage and high demand for Galaxy S22 Ultra, Samsung used the chips intended for the S22 FE in Galaxy S22 Ultra. However, according to a TechRepublic report, there’s no more chip shortage, so it remains to be seen if the Galaxy S23 FE has been scrapped or just delayed.

On the other hand, another tipster – Connor / 코너 / コナー aka @OreXda has claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is very much in the pipeline and might launch later this year. The tipster claimed that, unlike the previous claim, the upcoming smartphone would not be powered by a Snapdragon 8 series chipset but more affordable SoC. Additionally, Connor claimed that Samsung would scrap the Galaxy S Plus devices in favour of Galaxy S FE handsets.
