Samsung Galaxy S23 FE launch rumours have been around for a while. The device’s existence is perhaps quite questionable since Samsung skipped launching the Galaxy S22 FE last year. Reports suggested that Samsung had cancelled its plans of launching a new Fan Edition variant of the flagship S series. One of the reasons cited was the overlap between the Galaxy FE series and top-end Galaxy A-series models. However, with no Galaxy A74 5G this year, it looks like Samsung might launch an FE variant of its flagship.

A new report has now revealed the launch timeline and specifications of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 FE 5G. Let’s take a look at the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE specifications, launch timeline and other details known so far.

Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Tipped to Launch Later this Year

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE might launch at the end of this year. According to a new report, the Fan Edition smartphone will launch in Q4 of 2023. The SamMobile report did not reveal the exact launch month, but according to the leaked details, the Galaxy S23 FE launch could take place between October and December 2023.

The report also revealed that the Galaxy S23 FE will get a new processor. Unlike the Galaxy S23 series, which came with a customised and overclocked version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the Galaxy S23 FE will feature an Exynos SoC. This might already disappoint some enthusiasts as the Exynos line of chipsets has not been as powerful as the likes of premium Snapdragon and MediaTek SoCs out there.

Samsung might feature its Exynos 2200 SoC in the S23 FE. And the same SoC will be used across all markets. The chip was featured in select S22 series launched in Europe and came with an AMD GPU.

While the SoC might not be as recent or competitive, it is expected to be tuned well for the S23 FE, considering Samsung has had enough time to optimise the chipset for its Fan Edition phone. The report also revealed that the Galaxy S23 FE will get an upgraded camera setup on the back.

The Galaxy S21 FE and its predecessors have been featuring a 12MP triple-camera setup for a while. With the Galaxy S23 FE, Samsung will reportedly launch the phone with a 50MP main camera sensor. It is likely that the phone will feature the same 50MP sensor found in the vanilla S22 and S23 models. However, there is no clarity on that front. The device might continue to feature a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 12MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom.

In addition to this, the report revealed that the Galaxy S23 FE will feature two storage options — 128GB and 256GB. The device is likely to offer up to 8GB of RAM as well. There will be the same 4500mAh battery under the hood with support for 25W fast charging out of the box. What are your thoughts on the S23 FE’s leaked specs? Let us know in the comments below.
